The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t been at their free-flowing best on offense in 2024, though that hasn’t stopped them from putting together an 11-1 record so far.

With Patrick Mahomes at the helm, the Chiefs have managed to navigate a plethora of injuries and poor play on the offensive line to put themselves at the forefront of the conversation when it comes to Super Bowl contenders.

Isiah Pacheco, the team’s leading rusher last season, recently made his return, and unfortunately for the rest of the league, it appears the Chiefs may be close to welcoming another big name to the lineup.

Marquis ‘Hollywood’ Brown signed a one-year deal with KC back in March, but unfortunately for him and the team, he suffered a sternoclavicular injury during the preseason.

As a result he was placed on injured reserve on September 13, a move which many thought would end his regular season.

With just five games remaining in the regular season, it seems as though the chances of seeing Brown return to the fold are increasing with each passing day.

“That work gone show,” Brown wrote on X. While cryptic, some think it is hinting at a return to the field for the wide receiver.

Reid continues to tinker with offensive line

While the Chiefs receiving corps could get a boost in the ear future, coach Andy Reid continues to tinker with the offensive line.

After a poor showing by left tackle Wanya Morris against the Las Vegas Raiders, all eyes on are now on the health of D.J. Humphires, a former Pro Bowl left tackle the Chiefs brought in.

He has been sidelined with an ACL injury suffered at the end of the 2023 season, and Reid was quick to poor cold water on suggestions he would immediately come in and start.

“It’s not fair to D.J. Humphries to name him the starter just yet,” Reid stated.

As a result all eyes will be on Morris this Sunday when the Chiefs welcome the Las Angeles Chargers to Arrowhead Stadium. The game is slated for a 8:20 p.m. kickoff time.
