For the NFL Week 8 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys will activate Dalvin Cook as an option to use in their ground attack.
In yesterday’s press conference, the head coach of “The Lone Star”, Mike McCarthy, confirmed that the former Minnesota Vikings running back is ready to make his debut with his new team: “Dalvin is ready, I really like the work he is doing”.
Jerry Jones‘ franchise is having trouble establishing its ground attack this year, averaging just 77.2 yards per game, the lowest figure in the entire league.
The running backs: Ezekiel Elliott, Hunter Luepke, Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn have not been able to fill the void left by Tony Pollard, who was surprisingly traded to the Tennessee Titans this year.
Dalvin Cook’s NFL career stats
In seven years as a professional, Dalvin Cook has 6,207 yards and 47 touchdowns in 88 games so far. His best moments have been with the Minnesota Vikings between 2017 and 2022.
In 2023, he played in 15 games (one start) for the New York Jets, but managed just 214 yards and no touchdowns.
