Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is having a great 2025: his team won Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs and he got the MVP award for his great performance during the championship game.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners standout started the 2024 season facing questions about his playd and that of the Eagles offense and he ended it with Philadelphia winning its second Super Bowl trophy in franchise history.

During the big game, he completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Hurts also ran for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a Super Bowl with 72, breaking his own mark set in Super Bowl LVII, when the Eagles came up short agains the Chiefs lead by quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Hurts gets immortalized in a drawing
Jalen Hurts impressive performance in Super Bowl LIX deserves a lot of praise for taking down one of the best NFL teams in recent history and one of the most exciting players in the league history: Patrick Mahomes. And an American artist immortalized Hurts’ face with an amazing piece.
Jayce Hall, an artist who makes original drawings using clever techniques, posted a video of a cool drawing he made by writing “Jalen Hurts” name close to 10,000 times. “It’s been so cool to watch (Hurts) grow and achieve his dreams of being Super Bowl Champion!!!” Hall wrote on his Instagram account.
The former North Dakota State University student added that he has a few more NFL player drawings. His webpage showcases his talent drawing artists suchs as Bob Dylan, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Sinatra, Keith Urban, Post Malone, as well as athletes such as Derrick Rose and Kobe Bryant.
A career-defining game for Jalen Hurts
For Jalen Hurts, Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs was a career-defining game and his performance was top notch, breaking through the glass ceiling some thought he never would. And let’s not forget that he played tremendously at times in the Eagles’ Super Bowl loss two years prior.
“He just keeps getting better,” head coach Nick Sirianni said of Hurts. “He knows how to win. He does a great job of being able to block out all the outside noise (…) Jalen is special and the criticism just blows my mind because I think he’s so special and has won so many games and works his butt off and just continues to get better.”
Jalen also had faced plenty of adversity prior to the Super Bowl loss two years ago, getting benched at halftime of the CFP National Championship Game at Alabama. But the NFL championship game was his moment, even if he wasn’t perfect. He did have an interception that left points on the board in the first half, but the turnover could be excused.
