Taylor and Travis began their “Love Story” in the summer of 2023, becoming one of the most talked-about couples in the world of sports and entertainment.
Two years later, on August 26 of this year, following the success of the highly anticipated episode of the “New Heights” podcast they recorded together, the couple announced their engagement with a shared post on Instagram. With five photos of the special moment, they announced: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The couple already has a wedding date: they will marry on June 13 next year in a luxurious and highly anticipated ceremony in Rhode Island, and preparations are underway. However, neither of them has revealed any plans for the ceremony.
Despite this, Travis’ older brother Jason revealed a detail that the most famous couple in the NFL and music has yet to resolve: the best man’s speech.
During his most recent appearance on Good Morning America on December 19, the 38-year-old former center was asked about his role in the wedding and whether he had already begun preparing his speech. However, Jason’s response surprised everyone: “Time will tell if there is one or anything like that,” he said.
“I’ve been given no details on that front, but however I’m involved, I’ll be happy to be,” Jason confessed, “I’m just happy for those two.”
Jason, who married Kylie Kelce in 2018, admitted to wanting the best man role shortly after the couple announced their engagement in September: “Hopefully I’m the best man. We’ll see,” Jason said during an appearance on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast. “Trav has a lot of friends, I’m just hoping to get the opportunity.”
Meanwhile, as Jason waits to find out what his role will be at the wedding, a source recently revealed to People that both the tight end and the 14-time Grammy winner are equally involved in every step of planning their wedding and that nothing feels “rushed” or “one-sided”:
“They’re both equally involved and excited, and this isn’t something one or the other is carrying on their own. They’re approaching it as a partnership, talking things through together and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them,” the source said.
Without a doubt, together they are the best team.
