We’re only a few short weeks away from experiencing Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which continues the saga of Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer turned superhero and protector of Hell’s Kitchen. In a new promo for the upcoming season, Krysten Ritter reprises her iconic role as Jessica Jones, the tough-as-nails private investigator who’s more than willing to throw down if it means justice gets served.
What Happens in Today’s Teaser?
In today’s brief Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 trailer, Matt Murdock dons his alter-ego’s fan-favorite black suit, a look harkening back to some of Daredevil’s most memorable storylines and missions. Set to Donald Glover’s “Lithonia,” the preview shows Daredevil recruiting his former Defenders teammate, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), who shares an interest in bringing down the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) before he can rule New York City with an iron fist. As the trailer plays, we catch glimpses of Jessica Jones and Daredevil in fighting mode, with other Born Again favorites like Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) also mixing it up for the new season.
What is Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 About?
The official synopsis for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 reads:
“In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”
Charlie Cox on Jessica Jones’ Return
Last month, Charlie Cox spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the character dynamic between Jones and Murdock, saying, “Just by the nature of who Jessica is and who Matt is, they both give as much as they get. I’m not sure we were aware of it when we were shooting it. So we’ve been really waiting for this opportunity for so long now to put these two on screen together and have more fun with them.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 continues Marvel‘s commitment to offering fans mature content while waiting for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to release in theaters on July 31, 2026. Born Again does not shy away from violence, harsh language, gritty drama, and interpretations of characters that go against the grain while remaining true to the source material. It’s been too long since Daredevil and Jessica Jones got a prime opportunity to crack some skulls, so anticipation for their reunion is creating quite the buzz among Marvel fans. Let’s do this!
