The New York Jets have problems, no doubt. And to prove it one of the first plays in the second quarter against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. The score was tied at zero and then it happened.
Malachi Corley took the ball after a reverse and he was ready to score as he was less than a step away from the endzone, but one small detail, he dropped the ball before he could be actually inside the endzone.
He scored in first instance but the play was reviewed and it was confirmed that he in fact did drop the ball inches before he got into the endzone once again stating that the team has issues.
Questioning how to fix this
The Jets now need to think about how they will try and make things better, as this is clearly a sign of a team that has many problems and no true leader after a waisted opportunity to go up in the score.
The team has struggled even with a healthy Aaron Rodgers and now with Davante Adams, as plays like this also demonstrate that the young players in the team are not being guided correctly.
If they can manage to string some victories, they could have a chance to compete for that last Wild Card spot in the AFC but if they can’t correct their problems they will remain way behind in the East.
