The Los Angeles Lakers are unsure if LeBron James’ goal of playing 82 games this season is sustainable amid the NBA superstar’s shooting slump.
James, who has missed 19 straight 3-pointers, had 10 points on 4-for-16 shooting in the Lakers’ 109-80 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.
Speaking after the blowout loss, Lakers coach JJ Redick touched on the goal set by the 39-year-old veteran.
“I don’t know that’s in the best interest of him and us if he does that, but if he’s feeling well and feeling good, then he should play,” Redick said after the defeat. “But we obviously want to … manage that as best we can.”
