Joana Sanz announces her pregnancy three days after Dani Alves’ acquittal

Just three days after Dani Alves‘ family celebrated the footballer’s acquittal, Joana Sanz announced through her social networks that she is pregnant with her first child. The model explained through a text and a video published on her Instagram account how she had to undergo two IVF treatments and how she suffered two miscarriages before managing to carry the pregnancy to term.

“I didn’t want to share anything until it was more than obvious, but I wanted to share it for those who are in the fight,” the footballer’s wife began writing

Dani Alves and Joana Sanz’s happy moment that will never return

“I had to deal from the age of 22 with questions like ‘when is the baby coming?’… What a terrifying social pressure. I never had a maternal instinct, that desire to have children or to like to hold someone’s baby. As the years went by, my group of friends were having babies and social networks were filled with births (I guess because of age that’s what happens),” she said, stressing the social pressure many women suffer to be mothers before a certain age.

“The phrase ‘your time is running out’ is no joke. There is so much ignorance about a woman’s reproductive age and that it is not so easy to get pregnant. Five years ago, I thought about the idea of being a mother with a lot of fear. Fear because a human being will depend on me to survive, fear of not working, fear of losing myself as a woman… But that’s another story,” she wrote just before recounting her process.

Two IVFs, three miscarriages, one operation and endometriosis

“What I was trying to say is that a healthy 27-year-old woman finds herself with two IVF, three miscarriages and finally a tubal operation and the appearance of endometriosis. I had all kinds of tests over the years, with some divine embryos and no reason for anything. The frustration and the why “everyone” gets pregnant as if by magic tormented me. I’m used to getting what I want with hard work, but that’s not how it works, dear.”

“To top it off, I had to swallow the dreaded question of ‘when’s the baby due?’ over and over again with so much pain in my chest. I lost my mother two years ago, I have no parents or siblings, the feeling of orphanhood and emptiness has accompanied me until the day I heard my baby’s heartbeat for the first time. My last frozen embryo, my last hope to have that reason to be strong in life,” she continued.

“There she is, healthy and growing. And I know it was my mother who sent her to me so that I will never feel alone again, so that I can enjoy life and have this rainbow full of love after so much storm. I still don’t believe it and I wake up in the middle of the night with the fear of seeing the sheets full of blood or I close my eyes in the ultrasounds until I hear that everything is perfect. Everything comes, do not give up“, said Sanz encouraging all women who are trying to have a child.

Sanz reacts to comments about her pregnancy

Shortly after announcing the pregnancy of her first child, of which it is still unknown whether Dani Alves is the father, the model has reacted to the comments that have been coming to her from both acquaintances and strangers, warning, however, that she has opened the comments on her photos only for those people she follows.
