Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker appears to chase controversy. The 29-year-old American evidently loves the sound of his own voice and feels the need to share his opinion on everything, even when nobody really wants to hear it.

Having recently drawn attention and deserved criticism for sexist comments made while speaking as a guest during a university graduation ceremony, Butker has sought to annoy yet more people.

Now, it is the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris that has his attention, and he is unhappy with the involvement of drag queens, it seems.

A group of drag queens channeled the last supper during the ceremony, with them appearing similar to how Jesus Christ and his twelve apostles are depicted in Leonardo Da Vinci‘s famous work.

“This is crazy,” Butker posted to Instagram, along with a screenshot of the scene.

He then cited Galatians 6:7, adding: “Be not deceived, God is not mocked.”

Butker, then, is evidently a man who takes his catholicism very seriously without being a very accepting man.

The outspoken Butker recently came under fire for his speech at Benedictine College in Kansas, where he effectively told a group of graduating young women that they should look forward to being homemakers and not to their budding careers.

“I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you,” Butker said.

“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.

“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”

He also added the usual sentiment that there are a lot of “people pushing dangerous gender ideologies onto the youth of America,” which is often cited by a lot of far-right and people of an anti-LGBT persuasion.
