In an exclusive interview with Page Six at a press day for the Fox series, Nicole shared how the backlash from her public breakup helped her prepare for the grueling tasks ahead.

“God, I think that put things in full perspective, that social media is literally just that. Social media, words on the internet,” she said.

“When you’re put in an environment like this, those little tweets and headlines could mean nothing to me.”

Nicole and Kelce ended their five-year relationship in May 2022, and while Kelce has since moved on with Swift, Nicole has continued to speak publicly about their past.

The experience of going through a public breakup has been difficult, but Nicole is using it as motivation for her time on the show.

“I’m actually excited for people to see us stripped down, raw, vulnerable,” she explained.

“I think people in general, the general public, need to be reminded that we’re all humans, right? We all have very real emotions.”

Nicole, who has long been known for her fitness and social media presence, also revealed that the show’s intense physical challenges pushed her limits in unexpected ways.

“I kept thinking about my family back home and my promise to them,” she shared, noting that her loved ones were a key source of motivation throughout the experience.
