Kim Kardashian skipped the Japanese Grand Prix despite being in Tokyo days earlier, and instead Lewis Hamilton was seen sharing warm moments with a different A-list actress in the paddock.
The absence stood out because Kim Kardashian had spent much of the week in Japan, frequently spotted enjoying the city and spending time with Lewis Hamilton, which had fueled expectations that she would appear trackside at Suzuka.
Speculation around their relationship has grown steadily in recent months, and many believed the high-profile race would mark her first public appearance supporting Lewis Hamilton during a Formula 1 weekend, yet that moment never materialized.
Instead, Lewis Hamilton‘s race-day company drew attention for different reasons, as he was seen walking through the paddock alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, who is known to attend races and shares a friendly rapport with the Ferrari driver.
Inside the Ferrari garage, the pair greeted each other warmly, exchanging a hug before Lewis Hamilton continued his pre-race routine, while other celebrities circulated through the paddock as the sport’s global appeal continued to surge.
High-profile names including Chris Pratt, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, and Charlie Day were also present, highlighting the entertainment crossover surrounding the event.
Earlier in the week, Kim Kardashian had been documenting her time in Tokyo with her children, sharing glimpses of activities including go-karting, which drew comparisons to Lewis Hamilton‘s own racing attire and lifestyle.
Reports suggested she may have left Japan before race day, although her exact movements remained unclear, adding another layer of intrigue to a relationship that has largely played out away from official public settings.
Hamilton endures frustrating outing at Japanese GP
While the off-track narrative drew headlines, Lewis Hamilton‘s performance on race day proved far less satisfying, as the seven-time champion struggled to convert a promising position into a podium finish at Suzuka.
After briefly moving into contention following a safety car period, Lewis Hamilton was unable to maintain his advantage, eventually slipping down the order as rivals found more consistent pace during the latter stages.
“Pretty terrible, ultimately, because I was P3 and I ended up going backwards,” Lewis Hamilton told Sky Sports F1. “I just need to understand where I was losing all of the power.
“I just had a real lack of power today, particularly through the second synth but for the majority of the race, even from the beginning, I couldn’t keep up with people just for the lack of power.
“I don’t really understand this. I’m full gas and I’m managing where I’m being asked to manage, and for some reason just lacking power today.
“So we need to figure out if there’s somethIng wrong with the car or not, but still, we got some points.”
The result left Lewis Hamilton reflecting on technical concerns, while also balancing the spotlight on his personal life, as attention continues to follow both his performances and the evolving narrative around Kim Kardashian.
