LeBron James and Bronny turn family moment into NBA history

LeBron James and his son Bronny James continue to make NBA history together on the court as the Los Angeles Lakers‘ regular season winds down. The father-son duo is logging more minutes and creating unforgettable moments with every game.

LeBron James has to be the happiest dad in the NBA right now

This Thursday, April 9, the James family reached another historic milestone in league history: Bronny James recorded the first son-to-father assist in NBA history.

It happened during the Lakers’ game against the Golden State Warriors. With 51 seconds left in the first quarter, Bronny stole the ball and quickly passed it to LeBron, who pushed it in transition and finished with an uncontested dunk.

The Lakers went into halftime leading 53-49 in San Francisco.

This wasn’t the first historic moment between them. On March 27 against the Brooklyn Nets, they had already achieved the league’s first father-to-son assist: LeBron found Bronny, who knocked down an open three-pointer.

In the third quarter of Thursday night’s game, LeBron returned the favor with another assist on yet another Bronny three-pointer.
