NBC Sports commentator Noah Eagle is an emerging on-air talent that’s following the steps of his very famous father and a TV broadcaster himself, the play-by-play announcerIan Eagle.
Noah is the voice of college football’s “Big Ten Saturday Night.” He has also called NFL playoff games (including Super Bowl LVIII on Nickelodeon), NBA and Olympic basketball games, and the French Open, and in 2024, he received a Sports Emmy Award.
The young TV personality is also a very good impersonator as he showed his talents during Thursday’s YES Network call of the Brooklyn Nets vs. Milwaukee Bucks game. During the “Ask The Announcers” segment, Noah Eagle and broadcast partner Sarah Kustok launched into the comedy.
“What does an argument between Noah and Ian Eagle sound like? So, I’ve already done it. But I will do it live in person so you can hear it.” “You’ve already had an argument?” Kustok asked.
“No, I’ve already simulated what an argument was when I was growing up. Which is I would get home and he would go ‘Clean your room!’ And I would go ‘Not today!’ And he would say ‘Breakfast denied!’ And I would say ‘I want some eggs!’ And then he would say, ‘Broken ankles and yolks!’ And I would say ‘I’m not hungry!’ And I would get grounded. That’s usually how it would go.” Noah replied.
The moment was super funny especially because Noah sounds just like his famous dad. And social media useres were well aware of it, commenting that there’s few people in the world that can pull of a Ian Eagle voice quite like his son.
Even Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James got into the conversation, as he reposted the video with a lot of laughing emojis. “They’re both so underrated.” X user DawgPound posted. “Noah will eventually be a #1 guy.” X user Jeremy replied. “Them some strong a** genes holy sh**.” said X user Love Live Superstar S3 SZN.
Ian Eagle cracks ‘Stranger Things’ joke about himself
Ian Eagle was part of the broadcast booth for Netflix’s first live NFL games on Christmas Day featuring the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers.
Eagle was backed up by J.J. Watt and Nate Burleson. Ian, regarded as one of the best play-by-play announcers in all of sports, had a little fun with his guys when he busted out a “Stranger Things” joke about the crew.
“I don’t know if somebody is like tuning into Netflix right now and thinking the kids from Stranger Things got really old,” Eagle said, referencing Netflix’s hit show.
