LeBron James defies time with intense training ahead of his 22nd NBA season

As the Los Angeles Lakers gear up for the 2024-25 season with a new coach and fresh strategy, one thing remains constant: LeBron James, the living legend, is back for his 22nd season. At 39 years old, LeBron continues to defy Father Time, and his recent training sessions are proof.

In a series of photos and videos shared on social media, King James was seen in peak physical condition, hitting the gym with intensity and nodding to the beat of the music as he prepped for what might be another historic year.

With the first preseason game scheduled for October 4th and the regular season opener on October 22nd against the Minnesota Timberwolves, all eyes are on LeBron. As he approaches his 40th birthday in December, the NBA veteran shows no signs of slowing down, having averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists last season, along with a career-best 41% from beyond the arc.

While the Lakers made minor moves during free agency-bringing in Collin Castleton and Christian Koloko on two-way contracts and re-signing Max Christie-the most intriguing addition was drafting LeBron’s son, Bronny James, in the 2024 NBA Draft. Fans are eager to see if the father-son duo will share the court this season.

While speculation about his retirement lingers, LeBron remains focused on the present, ready to lead the Lakers once again. Will this season mark his final farewell, or is the King preparing for yet another run at a championship? Only time will tell, but for now, LeBron is proving he’s still got plenty left in the tank.
