LeBron James has brutal reaction to wife Savannah’s expensive whim: I wanna be like you when I grow up

LeBron James joked he wants to be like Savannah James when he “grows up” as the Los Angeles Lakers‘ star showed off where some of his billionaire money has gone by flexing his wife’s Hermes handbag.

The 40-year-old took to social media to call out the 39-year-old’s lavish taste for wealth in an amusing social media post showing off the black and gold bag, which is also decorated by a pink ribbon adorned with horses.

“Big Mama ain’t playing around!! Sheesh,” LeBron posted to Instagram. “@mrs_savannahrj I wanna be like you when I grow up.”

The pair have been married for 11 years and have three children together, including Bronny who also plays for the Lakers alongside his father after being selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The couple met as childhood sweethearts in Akron, Ohio, and have remained rock solid ever since but they also proved they haven’t lost their child-like fun poking at each other. However, it’s not always games as LeBron showed how much he loves his wife too.

The matriarch of the household was hyped up by the four-time NBA champion, who credits Savannah for her role in their family and their relationship as they continue to grow together in their careers and personal lives.

“The thing about it is,” Lebron posted to Instagram. “Is that we just grew even stronger and tighter together!!

“Love you my Queen! Ruler of the Kingdom!”

Who do the Lakers play next?

Savannah is no doubt a huge part of the reason why her husband has gone on to be regarded as one of the best basketball players of all time, if not the greatest, through his illustrious career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and now the Lakers.

Naturally she was in the stands as the 6ft 7in hooper posted 24 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in a 132-113 win over the Utah Jazz, in what was Luka Doncic‘s first game since his tunning trade from the Dallas Mavericks.

The Lakers have now won five straight since their defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers and are on an impressive run of just two defeats in their last 13 games. They’re next up against the Jazz once again on February 12, with kick off in Utah from 13:00 ET/10:00 PT.
