LeBron James: Playing with my son is the most important thing

Just two months ago the Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James 55th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Since then his father, LeBron James, has seemingly always been in the news, whether it’s due to the recent Olympic Games and the prospect of stepping on to an NBA court with his son.

Lebron James clarifies what Bronny should not call him in front of the team

Despite that, the truth is that LeBron is looking forward to the start of the season to be able to play next to his son.

LeBron can’t hide his excitement

Before the start of the new season, the Lakers franchise player went on “The Shop” podcast where he talked about the situation of sharing a locker room with his son.

“I’m very excited to get started in training camp. Having your son working with you is the greatest thing,” he said when talking about the future that awaits him this season.

The 23-year-old Bronny also confessed, “I’m really looking forward to it. I really can’t wait to step on the ground, it’s going to be quite surreal for me.

Despite the family bond that unites the two players of the Californian franchise, the truth is that “The King” has set some rules of coexistence so that both can perform optimally on the court.

That includes LeBron telling Bronny that he can’t call him dad when they are in the work environment.

“[He] cannot call me dad in the workplace,” LeBron said.

“Once we leave out the private facility and the gates close, I could be dad again [and] in the car if we ride together, at home I could be dad.”
