Luka Doncic’s playful jab at Hachimura steals the spotlight in Lakers’ win over Sacramento Kings

After turning back to the victory path with two dominant weekend wins, the Los Angeles Lakers can proudly say that they have found their rhythm again. Right after three consecutive losses, people thought that the purple and yellow teams were going through a crisis, but time proved those claims wrong.

however, even though the action on the court was impressive, it was a another moment what stole the headlines during their 128-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings. At the center of the viral moment was a playful “troll” session from superstar Luka Doncic directed at teammate Rui Hachimura.

A terrible pregame ritual

Like in every match, there is a pregame routine usually led by superstar LeBron James, but in the last game, the baton was given to Hachimura. It did not go as planned.

We can say that he struggled a bit with the execution, bungling the toss multiple times as his teammates looked on in a funny shock. After the win, Doncic did not want to miss the chance to refer to the situation while speaking to reporters:

“Never again. Never again. He was terrible

The jab was clearly jokes, highlighting the locker room chemistry and relationship, proving that they remain strong despite the pressure of a long season on their shoulders.

Shutting down all the outside noises

Leaving the jokes aside, Doncic also had a say about the external criticism the Lakers faced during their recent losing streak, making clear that he does not pay attention to that as there is a lot of unnecessary noise:

“There’s a lot of noise outside. I try not to pay attention to that

It seems that some people dislike that the Lakers have reestablished their driving direction, as now they move to a 36-24 record that allows them to keep being a competitive team inside the tough Pacific Division.

The Lakers will look to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night at Crypto.com Arena. Hopefully they can see LeBron back for the ritual.
