The newspaper ‘El Mundo’ reports that Matheus Nunes, Portuguese footballer who was a starter in Manchester City‘s 4-0 victory against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League, was arrested on Sunday, September 8, at La Riviera nightclub in Madrid for stealing the cell phone of a person who took a photo of him in the bathroom.

Luis F. Duran publishes that “the agents took the footballer to the Arganzuela police station where he was taken to the police station where a statement was taken for an alleged crime of theft, as confirmed by the Madrid Police Headquarters. Matheus Nunes, a candidate to the fill the role of the injured Rodri, is a player for whom Manchester City paid 62 million euros to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023 and who played as a double pivot at Sporting CP.

Matheus Luiz Nunes was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on August 27, 1998 and at the age of 12 moved to Ericeira in Portugal.
