It doesn’t have to sound negative, but for now the Dallas Mavericks have sent their G-League team to Anthony Davis, their new franchise player after the February trade to the Los Angeles Lakers for Luka Doncic. The power forward has only been able to play one game since the player swap and appears to be in the final stages of recovery from his muscle injury.
Davis has been integrated into the Texas Legends work dynamic to do five-on-five work because he claims to feel good from his adductor strain. But the Mavericks are not so optimistic and want to be more cautious about the hypothetical reappearance of the former Lakers player
What a mess! Lakers fan’s shocking courtside find leaves fans disgusted
The power forward has only played one game for the Mavericks since the controversial trade that took Luka Doncic, among others, to the Lakers. Davis played on February 8 in Dallas’ win over the Rockets with a monumental stat line: 26 points and 16 rebounds. But that game was his first and last in his new jersey. He brought forward his return according to the timetable that was planned when he was still a Lakers player and relapsed. He has not played since. Now he seems to be on the runway to play for the Mavs again.
