Messi leads the presentation of Argentina’s new special edition jersey

The Argentina national team will wear a special edition of their Albiceleste uniform on Tuesday when they host Peru in the Conmebol World Cup qualifiers. With a video on its social networks, the team’s stars announced this launch, with some of the details of the equipment, led by Lionel Messi, highlighting the long and successful history that the team has had over the last 50 years.

The reason for this launch, according to the Argentine Football Association (AFA), is to commemorate the 50-year relationship it has had with the German brand Adidas in the most successful period in Albiceleste history, when they won their three World Cup championships: 1978, 1986 and 2022.

In addition, the AFA badge, surrounded by laurels, and some details appear embroidered in gold, remembering that it is the current world champion.

In addition, on the back label, it has the phrase in gold: ‘50 Years – In the soul and in the skin’, which recalls the most glorious moments of this historic team, as well as the three stars that distinguish them as three-time world champions.

While the embroidery on the back includes a commemorative logo for the 50th anniversary of the meeting, the first of its kind dedicated exclusively to the AFA. The rest of the equipment consists of black shorts and socks, to complete its traditional design.
