The linebacker is the fourth player in NFL history to record at least 10 sacks in each of his first four seasons. The other three are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Parsons’ value to the Cowboys is immense, as the 25-year-old has become a key part of the team, whose best years are yet to come.

The Score reported that NFL Network’s Jane Slater said sources revealed to her that the Dallas Cowboys have not had significant contract talks with their star defender.
This information from Slater came after Terrence Parsons Jr., the Cowboys linebacker’s brother, said that the team and Micah are in serious talks for a contract extension.
Slater later noted that a deal could probably be struck between Parsons and the team.
“I have no reason to believe that it will not happen or that it cannot happen soon,” the journalist wrote on X. “I’m just telling you that I now have three sources telling me that (one) there is no deal done and two telling me that they don’t consider the talks to be significant enough to sign them. Reading between the lines? Communication has begun, but they have not yet reached that point,” he explained.
In 2025, Parsons will receive $24 million, but if a juicy deal is struck, he could become the highest paid player in the NFL.
