The Penn State product signed a four-year deal worth approximately $188 million, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. In his debut season with the Packers, Micah Parsons was having an outstanding year statistically, recording 12.5 sacks. Unfortunately, everything changed in Week 15, when he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee against the Denver Broncos, bringing his season to an abrupt end.

There is no doubt that a torn ACL is one of the most serious injuries in any sport and typically requires reconstructive surgery and a long rehabilitation process of at least 8-9 months, which must be handled very carefully. With the Packers’ season over after a painful comeback loss to the Chicago Bears, the team headed into the offseason. While at the team’s facilities, Micah Parsons spoke to the media and revealed that his return for next season is expected to be around Weeks 3 or 4, meaning he will not be available at the start of the campaign.
After Micah Parsons’ injury, the Packers failed to win another game that season, finishing on a losing streak and being eliminated early in the playoffs with a loss to the Bears. To make matters worse, Green Bay will not have a first-round draft pick next season, as it now belongs to the Dallas Cowboys as part of the Parsons trade.
