Miles McBride apologizes to Jennifer Hudson with flowers after courtside accident

Jennifer Hudson is taking a recent courtside mishap in stride after New York Knicks guard Miles McBride accidentally hit her with a basketball during a game against the Golden State Warriors. While the moment briefly startled the singer and actress, McBride quickly made amends in a heartfelt way.

Hudson shared the story on The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealing that McBride not only apologized immediately after the incident but also followed up with a personal video message and a bouquet of roses.

A courtside surprise turns into a sweet gesture

The incident happened as Hudson was enjoying the game at Madison Square Garden, engaged in conversation with her boyfriend, Common. Midway through their chat, a tipped ball flew her way, striking her in the face. Though momentarily shaken, Hudson later laughed about the situation, joking that she had learned never to get too distracted while sitting courtside.

During her show, Hudson played a video from McBride in which he expressed his remorse for the unintentional hit. “I just want to say I’m sorry for running into you at our game last week,” McBride said. “I was in the zone, trying to make a play, trying to bring some energy, and unfortunately, you were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Hopefully, we can be cool after this.”

Hudson, clearly moved by the gesture, was then surprised with a bouquet of roses from McBride, which she accepted with a big smile.

With Hudson’s gracious response and McBride’s thoughtful apology, it’s safe to say there are no hard feelings, just another unforgettable courtside moment at the Garden.
