Hector Herrera was not spared from being punished by Major League Soccer after spitting at a referee in the Mexican’s last game with the Houston Dynamo. It happened in the match between Houston and the Seattle Sounders in the playoffs.
Through a statement, the United States League detailed that the Mexican soccer player was fined and suspended for several games for what happened on the field at Shell Energy Stadium on November 3.
“The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Hector Herrera for an additional two matches (three matches in total) and fined him an undisclosed amount for spitting at a referee.”
The MLS detailed that the red card suspension for the Mexican and two more games of punishment will apply to their next three games played in MLS, a league in which it is still unknown if HH will continue or leave permanently.
