Eric Stonestreet, known for his role in the hit TV show Modern Family, has praised Travis Kelce‘s relationship with Taylor Swift by calling the Kansas City Chiefs star awesome and saying the Grammy-winning artist deserves a great guy.
Known for his role as Cameron Tucker in the popular American show, Stonestreet shared his genuine support for the couple, revealing a personal connection with Kelce that adds value to his comments.
“Travis is awesome,” Stonestreet said to Pagesix.com. “I’ve known Travis for a long time.
“And I was so happy for him when they started dating because I know him. She deserves a great guy, and he’s a great guy.”
Stonestreet has long been associated with Kansas City culture as a proud supporter of the Chiefs, so he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the 35-year-old tight end.
His words echo the sentiment felt throughout the Kansas City community and among football fans who’ve seen Kelce’s evolution from Super Bowl champion to global celebrity through his relationship with Swift.
And the pair have emerged as one of the most talked-about celebrity couples in recent years since going public with their relationship in 2023, as the duo has drawn admiration from fans and celebrities alike.
One such person is Ed Sheeran, who admitted the popstar is actually why he got into the NFL as he confessed to supporting the Tennessee Titans because of a meeting with Taylor.
“I’m a Titans fan,” Sheeran said to the Not Gonna Lie podcast. “I moved to Nashville for Taylor’s Red Tour in 2013, and I got a place there.
“I went to Walmart to buy bits to move in, and I just bought some pajamas. When I got home, I was wearing pajamas.
“And when someone was around, they were like, ‘Oh, you’re a Titans fan?’ I was like, ‘Guess I am.’ Since then, Titans.”
Travis Kelce still starstruck by Taylor Swift
Although celebrity relationships often draw mixed reactions, Kelce and Swift‘s public affection and mutual support have largely earned praise as they continue to become one of the USA’s most popular couples.
Another figure discussing the pair is Dan Patrick as the sportscaster recently shared that he’s a huge fan of Swift and often listens to her music, noting how her influence reaches far beyond her music audience.
Kelce himself remains humbled by the relationship. At the American Century Championship in Nevada, a bystander shouted, “You have the best girlfriend in the world!” Kelce, visibly flustered, laughed and replied, “Good point.”
And a source close to the three-time Super Bowl winner told Rob Shuter, “He still acts like he can’t believe she picked him. And she loves that.”
Their affection was also on display at the Tight End University summit in Nashville over June when Swift surprised attendees with an impromptu performance alongside Kane Brown and danced with Kelce throughout the evening, with clips of that moment going viral online.
