NFL Injury Report Week 3: Who is out currently and who might be next for this week in Fantasy Football?

Injuries are always a big topic in fantasy football, and Week 3 is no exception. With several key players banged up, it’s crucial to stay on top of the latest updates to manage your roster effectively.

Quarterbacks

Let’s start with the QBs. Justin Herbert, the Chargers’ star, had an MRI on his leg after Week 2, but head coach Jim Harbaugh reassured fans that the results were negative.

Jordan Love of the Packers is also in the spotlight. Despite mixed reports, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky suggests that Love has a good chance to play in Week 3. His return could be a significant factor for fantasy owners.

Running Backs

Moving on to running backs, Christian McCaffrey‘s injury is a tough blow for the 49ers. He’s been placed on injured reserve with a calf/Achilles issue, and NFL insider Ian Rapoport indicates he might be out for six weeks or more.

Isiah Pacheco has a fractured fibula and is expected to miss six to eight weeks. He’s on injured reserve, so fantasy managers should look for replacements.

Joe Mixon, who suffered an ankle injury from a hip-drop tackle, had an MRI on Monday. The results will determine his availability for the Bengals’ Week 3 matchup.

Rachaad White‘s groin injury isn’t a major concern for now, but keep an eye on Wednesday’s practice report for any changes.

Tyjae Spears left the game with a minor ankle sprain. Head coach Brian Callahan said Spears is “day to day,” so watch for updates on his practice status.

Tank Bigsby‘s shoulder injury will be monitored through the week, but head coach Doug Pederson believes he’ll be good to go.

Wide Receivers

Cooper Kupp left Week 2 in a walking boot, and Adam Schefter reports he might miss an extended period. Head coach Sean McVay has hinted that Kupp could be placed on injured reserve.

Justin Jefferson‘s quad injury seems less severe. He described it as a bruise and is listed as day-to-day.

Amon-Ra St. Brown‘s leg injury is described as a soft-tissue issue, and head coach Dan Campbell doesn’t see it as a long-term problem.

A.J. Brown‘s hamstring issue has him listed as questionable, and with a short week ahead, it might turn into a multi-week concern.

Lastly, Gabe Davis‘s shoulder injury from Week 2 is not expected to be serious, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Tight Ends

Evan Engram‘s hamstring injury has him listed as week-to-week, while Taysom Hill‘s chest injury, which sent him to the hospital, is believed to be minor. Jake Ferguson‘s knee injury is also something to monitor, but he’s expected to return in Week 3.

Stay tuned for the latest updates and adjust your fantasy lineup accordingly!
