NFL Playoff Picture 2024-25: Bracket, standings and scenarios heading into the Super Bowl


The 2024-25 NFL regular season is reaching its grand finale this weekend as Week 18 action unfolds. The excitement begins on Saturday afternoon and wraps up late Sunday night with the final showdown. By around 11:15 p.m. ET on Sunday, the full picture of the 2025 NFL Playoffs will come into focus. All 14 playoff teams will be locked in, the coveted No. 1 seeds in each conference will be decided, and the stage will be set for the six highly anticipated Wild Card weekend matchups.

In the American Conference (AFC), there are already five teams qualified for the postseason, although the places that each team will occupy are yet to be defined. The same goes for the National Conference (NFC), where there are still three playoff spots up for grabs.

What is the outlook in the AFC?

In the AFC, the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Steelers and Chargers already have their tickets secured to play beyond the first week of 2025, although the final positions are not defined.

The last ticket is currently held by the Denver Broncos (9-7), but the Miami Dolphins and Bengals, both 8-8, can still pull off a miracle.

The Colts, Jets, Browns, Jaguars, Titans, Raiders and Patriots are eliminated.

The hot scene in the NFC

In the NFC, Detroit Lions (13-2) tie the Minnesota Vikings for the best record in the Conference and the NFC North title. Both teams would fight for everything in a direct duel in Week 18.

Eagles, Rams, Green Bay Packers, Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a ticket to the playoffs as well.

Cowboys, Cardinals, 49ers, Saints, Panthers, Bears and Giants are eliminated.
