Chet Holmgren was injured and left the court after just five minutes of the game as his Oklahoma City Thunder fell 116-127 to the Golden State Warriors led by a great Stephen Curry.
Holmgren went to block Andrew Wiggins, collided with the Warriors player in the air and suffered an ugly fall in which he injured his hip and was forced to leave the game. Initial tests have determined that he suffered a fracture of the right iliac hip and will be re-evaluated in eight weeks.
Holmgren is the inside mainstay of a Thunder team that is already dealing with another major absence in the paint with Isaiah Hartenstein.
Aside from the center, the news in Oklahoma was the victory of the Warriors, who confirmed their excellent form and are now second in the West with 8-2.
The Thunder now have the same record, while the Phoenix Suns are the first in that conference with 8-1.
