Patrick and Brittany Mahomes appear to be distancing themselves from Patrick Mahomes Sr. after the father of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback displayed concerning behavior once again.

Mahomes Sr. had an altercation with former MLB pitcher John Rocker and it attracted the attention of the authorities.

A Texas District Attorney has requested that Mahomes Sr. wear a device which immediately checks whether he has consumed any alcohol or not.

Mahomes Sr. is a regular traveler which is why the District Attorney has asked that he wear a portable version of the device. This is per a court document obtained by ‘in Touch’.

“Patrick Mahomes (Sr.) … due to the defendant’s extensive travel outside of Smith County for sports events, it’s requested the defendant have an additional portable alcohol monitoring device when he’s not using his vehicle,” the District Attorney wrote as per a February 13 request,” the document read.

This is not the first time that Mahomes Sr. has landed himself in alcohol-related trouble, hence why the judge has been able to enforce this new measure on him.

The silent treatment from Brittany and Patrick

When Patrick’s brother, Jackson, was in the midst of a sexual harassment allegation, Brittany and Patrick made an effort not to appear in public with him or interact with him on social media.

This may be happening again with Mahomes Sr., as he did not appear to be in attendance at Sterling’s fourth birthday, but Brittany’s mother was there.

Also, nobody interacted with him on Instagram when he commented to wish Sterling a happy birthday.

When Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, commented on a post of Brittany‘s about Sterling’s birthday, Brittany replied and ‘liked’ the comment from Randi.

It seems that Mahomes Sr. has embarassed his family too many times and is now being shunned during big family events such as the birthdays of his grandchildren.
