Patrick Mahomes received an unexpected and touching visit at Kansas City Chiefs training camp. His two young sons, Sterling and Bronze, paid him a surprise visit, and Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, couldn’t take the touching moment. The tender encounter was shared by Brittany on her Instagram stories, a platform she regularly uses to keep fans up to date on her family life.
The clip captured Mahomes running to her children to hug them while Brittany looked on, overwhelmed by the sweet scene. She captioned the moment with, “”Then when we found him, they didn’t know what to do.” In the video, little Sterling and Bronze are seen holding hands, anxiously searching for their dad. When they located him, Mahomes ran to them, grabbed them in his arms and gave them a big hug.
The adorable video also showed the children having fun on the indoor field. Sterling, dressed in a Chiefs-inspired outfit, ran with a football, while her brother Bronze, almost two years old, wore a black Kansas City jersey.
This heartwarming family moment came as Mahomes prepares for the upcoming NFL preseason. The Chiefs’ preseason begins with an away game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 10. They will then host the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Fans are eager to see Mahomes and Travis Kelce play alongside new Chiefs receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and University of Texas rookie Xavier Worthy.
The 2024 season opener is set for Thursday, September 5, when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. It will be a rematch of the AFC championship.
