Patrick Mahomes continues hitting the gym as the 30-year-old Kansas City Chiefs ace makes a huge drive to improve himself ahead of the 2025/26 NFL season to avenge his loss in Super Bowl LIX.
The quarterback was sacked six times and threw a pick-six against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, on a night when he was bullied and looked completely out of his depth despite being a three-time NFL MVP.
As the Chiefs slumped to a 40-22 loss and the dream of a historic three-peat turned to ash, there was a sense of pain and bitterness in the air from all associated with the Arrowhead Stadium as they vowed to fight back next season.
And that’s something Mahomes is sticking to, based on his videos ahead of pre-season training, bulking up and piling on the muscle to make sure he can throw the ball faster and harder and be as tough as a rock to opposing defensive lines trying to sack him.
The star can be spotted in physiotherapy, intense cardio and agility training and balance practises as he looks to develop his range of motion and ultimate speed alongside adding power too.
Fans react to the video
Bobby Stroupe, his long-time trainer, continues to impress fans due to his close relationship with the Chiefs icon and the intimate understanding of what his body needs to be the NFL’s best QB.
Now with this latest transformation underway, fans wait to see what kind of monster the man with 245 career touchdowns in just eight years will have to offer when he takes on the AFC again in 2025/26 and fans are excited.
One user wrote in Mahomes‘ Instagram comments, “Let’s go!!!”
A second added, “The short cut is the new focus, but same mission.”
And a third said, “Time to start slinging that ball again enough of this dink and dunk bs.”
