Paul George calls for press to stay out of NBA locker rooms: “I’ve seen reporters looking at penises!”

Paul George, one of the figures of the Philadelphia 76ers, has asked thatjournalists can no longer freely enter the locker room after NBA games.

The former Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers player complains on the podcast ‘Podcast P with Paul George ‘ that he has caught at least one journalist looking at players’ penises while showering or changing.

“I would say in most locker rooms they’re naked when reporters come in. We’re in towels. We’re naked. We just got out of the shower. And then you have these reporters in there and, like, they’re not looking at a wall, you know what I mean?” the veteran forward denounced.

The Sixers player was much more explicit in pointing to a Washington reporter, who was well known among NBA players for being a voyeur in the locker room: “He would stare at guys’ flesh while they were in towels or while they were changing”.

He also charged that many reporters eavesdrop on players’ personal conversations… leading to rumors and unfounded reports.

George‘s stance joins that of NFL players, who also want reporters to be barred from their locker rooms while showering.

“I just think the locker room is our place of privacy….. There shouldn’t be anyone in that space,” he said.
