Robert Kraft was in high spirits on Saturday, mingling with fans and raising tequila shots at Greenwood Sports Pub and Kitchen in London, just a day before the Patriots’ 32-16 loss to the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. The 83-year-old team owner took a moment to address the crowd, praising the dedication of the Patriots’ London fan base in a lively scene captured in a video shared with The Post.
“We were driving to dinner and I was so inspired by all of you,” Kraft said.
“We’re gonna do a shot of tequila. I want to say thank you to all of you!”
Fanatics founder Michael Rubin was also present, standing behind Kraft and joining in on the festivities with a shot of his own.
Struggling on the field
However, the festive mood didn’t last long. On Sunday, the Patriots’ struggles continued, as they fell to Jacksonville, marking their sixth straight defeat.
The team initially jumped to a 10-0 lead but saw it evaporate as the Jaguars took over, scoring on four consecutive drives to turn the game around.
Rookie quarterback Drake Maye, in just his second career start, had a solid outing with 276 passing yards and two touchdowns, completing 26 of 37 passes. Despite his efforts, the Patriots couldn’t keep up with the Jaguars’ offense.
The loss comes as the Patriots adjust to life without Bill Belichick, who parted ways with the organization in January after a legendary 24-year run that brought six Super Bowl titles.
Looking ahead, the Patriots (1-6) are set to face off against the Jets (2-5) in Foxborough next Sunday, a matchup between two teams desperate to turn their seasons around.
