Aaron Rodgers achieved a major milestone during the New York Jets’ 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, surpassing 60,000 career passing yards.
The historic moment came in the third quarter when Rodgers connected with tight end Tyler Conklin for a 7-yard gain, propelling the four-time MVP into an elite group of NFL quarterbacks.

Rodgers joins NFL greats in 60K club
Rodgers entered the game just 96 yards shy of the 60K mark and completed 29 of 54 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Although the Jets couldn’t secure a victory, Rodgers’ accomplishment places him among only nine quarterbacks in NFL history to reach the rarefied 60,000-yard milestone.
He remains ninth on the all-time passing yards list, trailing NFL legends like Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, and record-holder Tom Brady.
Rodgers has been the active leader in passing yards since Brady’s retirement in 2022, and despite a challenging game against the undefeated Vikings, he continues to solidify his status as one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history.
Vikings defense comes up big in London win over Jets
The game, held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, was a thrilling affair.
After a rocky start, Rodgers helped rally the Jets back from a 17-point deficit.
However, the final drive ended in disappointment when Minnesota’s Stephon Gilmore intercepted Rodgers in the red zone, sealing the Vikings’ victory.
New York’s offense struggled early, with Rodgers throwing two interceptions in the first quarter-one of which was returned for a touchdown by Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.
Despite the setbacks, the Jets found momentum late in the first half when Rodgers connected with Allen Lazard for a touchdown, cutting the lead to 17-7.
In the second half, Rodgers kept the Jets’ hopes alive, connecting with Garrett Wilson for another touchdown to bring them within three points.
However, after a Vikings field goal extended their lead to 23-17, the Jets’ final chance was thwarted by Gilmore’s crucial interception.
While the loss drops New York to 2-3 on the season, Rodgers’ milestone provides a silver lining for Jets fans.
In only his second season with the team, after an Achilles injury cut short his first year, Rodgers continues to make history and give the Jets hope for the remainder of the season.
The Vikings, now 5-0, remain undefeated, but questions linger about their offensive struggles in the second half.
Despite a strong performance from the defense, Minnesota’s offense, led by Sam Darnold, will need to improve if they hope to maintain their perfect record.
