Shannon Sharpe called out by ex-NBA star in shocking allegation amid damaging IG sex controversy

Shannon Sharpe, the former star tight end for the Denver Broncos and a regular contributor to ESPN‘s “First Take” show, has come under fire recently after he accidentally live-streamed himself having sexual intercourse on Instagram. The mishap has proven humiliating for Sharpe, who initially claimed he was hacked before quickly backtracking.

However, some star athletes don’t believe Sharpe’s explanation of a simple mistake. Former NFL receiver Terrell Owens was among the first to react to the incident, while an NBA icon from the 2000s and the 2010s has also made his feelings clear with a shocking social media statement.

“D12” believes Sharpe’s sex act was staged!

The one thing about Dwight Howard is the former star center will give an opinion — whether he’s commenting on the NBA, the WNBA, or even Sharpe’s Instagram controversy.

Howard, a former Defensive Player of the Year and NBA champion who ranks among the NBA’s greatest players of the 2000s, took to X/Twitter with his own theory about what Sharpe could have possibly been thinking. He told his six million followers on the platform that Sharpe and “Michelle” had sex on Instagram Live in order to receive attention.

If that really was Sharpe’s motive — and the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee has indicated otherwise — then it was a pretty successful gambit. Fans and analysts from all corners of the sports world have chimed in on the embarrassing social media flub, but Sharpe is unlikely to face punishment from employer ESPN despite the unfortunate transgression.

This was not staged,” Sharpe told Chad Johnson on the “Nightcap” podcast. “I came in, I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I did not know IG Live. I’ve never been on IG Live. I’ve never turned IG Live on, so I don’t know how it works.”
