Shedeur Sanders gets cocky again as he anticipates how he will react to his draft pick

Shedeur Sanders is closing in on an NFL career and the Colorado Buffaloes star has revealed how he will react to his drafting later this month.

He is currently projected as a top-three prospect and is considered the second best quarterback after Cam Ward from Miami.

During the pro day showcase, Sanders was very impressive and certainly will have caught the eye of NFL scouts and representatives.

Sanders was asked at the pro day about his plan for the draft itself and where he will be watching it, and it turns out he will be keeping it low key and isn’t thinking too much about the day just yet.

“I’m gonna be at home, with my family,” Shedeur said.

“What the moment will be like, I don’t know. I don’t really like, I don’t really think about all that stuff. It’s too much like small things in the way to think about, oh the draft. So, my job is to take on each and everything on the schedule seriously. And then when I’m done with that, I can focus on the draft.”

He was then asked whether he thinks he is going to shed a tear when he is drafted, to which he gave one of his now classic cocky responses.

“You’re gonna see diamonds. Overly, Too many of them for sure…It’s going to be legendary. You’ll see. I’m excited for this,” Sanders said.

Where will Sanders go?

The expectation now is that Cam Ward will be drafted first by the Tennessee Titans, leaving Sanders as the second or third overall pick either to the Cleveland Browns or the New York Giants.

Recently, former NFL GM Mike Maycock warned the Giants against using their first-round pick on Sanders.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Maycock said: “I don’t know where Shedeur is going right now. If Cleveland passes on him, and he’s sitting there with a bouquet of roses at No.3, the Giants have a head coach and a GM a little bit on the hot seat.

“If they take Shedeur, it doesn’t make their team immediately better. It might over time, but you know they might rather have a position player which does make their team better immediately.”
