With the Super Bowl just a few days away, all of the other NFL franchises that aren’t involved in the game have their sights set on the 2025 NFL Draft. Drafts bring about hope, with teams angling to pick the players at the top of their boards and hope they can hit the jackpot with some of their selections. But the stakes are raised for the teams with high picks.
Given that so many teams need a quarterback and there are really only two players – Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders – who are considered worthy of a high pick, no one knows what’s going to unfold on draft night. Ward and Sanders have question marks and aren’t completely clean, elite prospects. So any type of positive move they can make from now until draft night could be crucial. Sanders seems to have done exactly that during Super Bowl media week.
Cam over Shedeur! As a Giants fan, who would you prefer to draft?
Kevin Clark, who works for ESPN’s Omaha Productions, told a personal story of Shedeur shaking the hands of every crew member following their interview on Radio Row this Thursday. His behavior drew a parallel to Deion Sanders during his broadcasting days.
Deion Sanders instilled a great sense of humility in Shedeur
A couple of NFL Draft reporters also used it as an opportunity to shed light on how people in the football industry feel about Deion and Shedeur, as the latter gets ready to enter the NFL.
- Jeff Lloyd: “Deion did a great job with his players, emphasized schoolwork, behavior, respect. A lot has been said about him, but this is one thing that is never mentioned.”
- Cory Kinnan: “Another really excellent reminder that scouts rave about Sanders’ character and he has one of the best character reports of the entire draft class.”
Sanders’ personality should endear him to many NFL front offices, which will likely lead to him being drafted within the Top 10 of the 2025 NFL Draft.
