Sports analyst Mike Florio has shared his thoughts on Shedeur Sanders‘ future. Florio mentioned Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s father, who once expressed he’d never coach in the NFL and suggested Deion might reconsider if his son entered the league but advised Shedeur to make his own choices wisely.
He could seek advice from his father, a seasoned NFL veteran, or use his NIL deal with Nike, which offers financial security if he decides to hold off on the draft. Despite this, most expect Shedeur to enter the league without delay.
“Somebody needs to say, ‘I’m not going to play for the Panthers, I’m not going to play for the Jets. I’ll sit out for a year. I got NIL money. I don’t need your money. I’ll sit out for a year and re-enter the draft’,” Florio told the Dan Patrick Show.
Shedeur’ much anticipated entry to the NFL world
Florio also floated the idea that Shedeur might steer clear of certain teams, drawing a comparison to Eli Manning’s 2004 draft decision not to play for the San Diego Chargers.
However, Shedeur‘s focus remains on preparing for the NFL. When asked about his January semester at the University of Colorado Boulder, he confidently stated, “I’m going to the league,” and later tweeted, “I’m graduating early btw,” exciting fans who have eagerly awaited his NFL journey.
Rumors suggest Shedeur may be interested in joining a team in need of a rebuild, eager to lead a struggling franchise back to prominence. But as a rookie, he’ll have a lot to learn, as turning around a franchise is no small feat.
