Deion Sanders is the man of the hour in college football. There were plenty of doubts about how Sanders would do as a head coach on the big stage. His time as a high school coach and a brief stint at Jackson State had his fans hopeful, but a subpar first season at Colorado put a target on his back. But in 2024, Sanders has shown why he’s earned the nickname “Coach Prime”.

Sanders has the Colorado Buffaloes humming, as they head into the final two regular season games with an 8-2 record and an outside chance at making the College Football Playoff. With the team performing so well, Sanders is already getting linked to some NFL jobs. The Dallas Cowboys make the most sense given Sanders played there in the 1990s, and current head coach Mike McCarthy is likely on his way out.

On Friday, though, Sanders made an appearance at a different team’s stadium that will surely have rumors swirling. Coach Prime stepped foot at Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs. And he had a meeting with head coach Andy Reid.

Sanders and the Buffaloes are in town as they get set to face the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday. Sanders took the opportunity to visit Reid and the home of the Chiefs.

Reid and Sanders go way back, as Sanders played against some teams where Reid was the coach during the 1990s. Their meeting on Friday has fans dreaming of a Reid-Sanders duo on the same coaching staff, but Sanders likely has head coaching aspirations at the moment.

Sanders would have to be an assistant head coach or coordinator to join Reid’s staff. Coach Reid isn’t going anywhere anytime soon given how successful he’s been over the past decade.
