It seems increasingly likely that Davante Adams will not play for the Las Vegas Raiders again. The receiver aims to miss his third game in a row, Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, due to a hamstring injury that kept him out against the Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns.
With that said, there is a strong chance he might not suit up for the silver and black again. He requested a trade a few weeks ago and the interesting thing is that ahead of this upcoming matchup, he could be wearing black and gold soon.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently reported that the Steelers are a team that has “strong interest” in Adams with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets having already had discussions with the Raiders.
The deadline is nearing
Come November 4, Davante Adams needs to be traded or he will stay in Vegas for the remainder of the season and he won’t like that. The Steelers could be a interesting choice for a trade, as Justin Fields has seemingly owned the starting job.
Russell Wilson is healthy and he will be active for the game against the Raiders but he will be number two. The early drama in the Pittsburgh quarterback room was a reason to believe that they were not a strong candidate for Adams to become a member of the team.
Now, with some clear sight for the near future, he is pretty much a very strong piece missing on this offense that can be considered to change the landscape of the AFC North, after a strong start and then two-straight losses for the Steelers.
