Inside the NBA is a renowned television show on TNT, celebrated for its engaging postgame analysis and lively discussion of NBA games. But since the company lost its NBA tv rights, it will now air on ESPN, exactly where Stephen A. Smith is.
For now, the show is hosted by the charismatic Ernie Johnson Jr., alongside former basketball stars Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal, but one expert consider we’ll see Stephen A. at some point in it as well.
Former ESPN president John Skipper said Friday he believes the current cast will be joined “at some point” by the First Take commentator, as a controversial desk will make for a high rating show.
Others have disregarded the matter
As of now, the show blends expert commentary with humor and camaraderie. Airing after NBA games, it features segments such as Shaqtin’ a Fool, which highlights amusing game bloopers, and EJ’s Neat-O Stat, presenting interesting statistics.
Adding to that would great but ESPN content president Burke Magnus recently talked about the possibility of Stephen A. Smith joining the show. “We don’t want to change it. We don’t want to interject new talent into it. We don’t want to really do anything to it.”
Since its inception in 1989, Inside the NBA has garnered a dedicated following and numerous Sports Emmy Awards, solidifying its status as a staple in sports broadcasting. Stepehen A. would definitely be add up to it.
