Stephen Curry continues to rewrite the NBA record books, achieving a historic milestone in the Golden State Warriors’ commanding 139-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in San Francisco.
The 36-year-old sharpshooter delivered a flawless performance from beyond the arc, sinking all eight of his three-point attempts-a first in his illustrious career.
Curry’s 30-point, 10-assist masterpiece made him the first player in NBA history to shoot at least eight-for-eight on three-pointers while also dishing out double-digit assists in a single game.
This achievement places Curry in a league of his own, outshining the NBA’s record of nine-for-nine three-pointers without assists, set by Latrell Sprewell in 2003 and later matched by Ben Gordon (2006, 2012) and Jalen Brunson (2023).
Stephen Curry vs. Michael Jordan
With this performance, Curry may have finally earned Michael Jordan’s respect by breaking Jordan’s record for the most 30-point games after the age of 35. Despite Jordan’s earlier comment in 2019 that Curry wasn’t yet a Hall of Famer, Curry’s recent performance against the 76ers proved his incredible talent.
This achievement may have helped dissolve any lingering tension between Curry and Jordan, and Curry acknowledged that he still has more to prove to himself.
The Warriors are like a clockwork machine
The Warriors showed depth beyond Curry’s brilliance, with Jonathan Kuminga contributing 20 points off the bench and Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Dennis Schroder each adding 15 points.
The victory lifted Golden State’s season record to 17-16, while the 76ers stumbled to 13-19.
