First, he made a change to the starting lineup, bringing Buddy Hield in place of Dennis Schroder. Kerr also shifted the team’s focus away from his usual defensive approach, opting for a more offensive strategy in light of the Warriors’ current situation.

“I’ve always leaned on the defense, but we need to lean on offense now, given where we are as a team. What I like, though, is we’ve got a really deep roster. We’ve got a lot of guys who can do a lot of different things,” Kerr declared.
One player who particularly benefited from Kerr’s adjustments was rookie Quinten Post. The young big man made a significant impact, contributing 20 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Post’s performance helped create crucial space on the floor, which allowed Stephen Curry to work more freely.
Kerr was enthusiastic about Post’s contributions.
“Steph was the happiest guy in the building tonight,” he added.
Kerr further explained how Post’s presence opened up the game for the entire team, making it easier for the Warriors to find their rhythm. Curry, in turn, capitalized on this space, finishing the game with 21 points, including five three-pointers.
The win pushed the Warriors’ record to 22-22, keeping them in the race for a playoff spot as they sit in 11th place in the Western Conference. While Thursday’s victory was a much-needed boost, the team will need to maintain this momentum going forward.
