Steve Kerr warns Draymond Green to curb a big problem with the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors secured a 120-113 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks and improved their record to 20-18 after previously losing to the LA Clippers.

However, after the game, Draymond Green revealed a blunt message from coach Steve Kerr about what the team needs to do to keep these wins coming.

Green talks about Warriors turnovers

During the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points for Milwaukee, leading all scorers. However, it wasn’t enough to stop Golden State.

Stephen Curry responded with 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. De’Anthony Melton added 21 points and Jimmy Butler contributed another 22.

These points were enough to beat the Bucks, but despite the win, the Warriors had 9 turnovers, averaging 15.2 per game.

Stephen had previously pointed out this weakness in the team, and it was something Green discussed with his head coach, Steve Kerr:

Coach came to me and was just saying, ‘Yo, we’re gonna keep putting the ball in your hands, but you have a responsibility to take care of it. We are not the team we used to be where we kind of take those chances. The league has changed. Teams feast off those turnovers,” Green said, stating that he “heard him” and has been taking fewer risks.

Meanwhile, Draymond scored 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists in the team’s seventh win in its last 10 games.

Now, Green and Golden State will return to the court on Friday at Chase Center, where they will host and face the Sacramento Kings as they look to continue improving their record and minimize turnovers.
