Deadline reports that Sylvester Stallone (Tulsa King), Cole Hauser (Yellowstone), and MGM Television are set to team up for Blood Aces, a TV series centered around Benny Binion, a real-life figure who helped build the foundation of modern Las Vegas gambling.
What’s Blood Aces About?
The series is based on Blood Aces: The Wild Ride of Benny Binion, the Texas Gangster Who Created Vegas Poker by Doug J. Swanson. It will follow “Binion’s explosive rise from a Fort Worth, Texas hustler to the ruthless, larger-than-life mastermind who redefined Vegas and the worlds of poker and rodeo. Positioned as a gritty, character-driven prestige series, the adaptation will capture his unapologetically bold style, from violently outsmarting rivals to building a family empire and bending the law to his will.“
Hauser will play Benny Binion. Stallone will executive produce for Balboa Productions alongside D. Matt Geller, with Hauser and Randall Batinkoff executive producing for Outlaw Entertainment. Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Stallone will have a role to play in the series at this time, but you never know.
