Travis Kelce is sporting a brand-new look following the Kansas City Chiefs‘ Super Bowl loss, and fans are buzzing over his transformation. The star tight end, who usually rocks a longer, scruffier hairstyle during the NFL season, has trimmed things up significantly just in time for the offseason.
A preview clip for the latest episode of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, showcased the new style, sending Swifties and NFL fans into a frenzy.
During the football season, Kelce‘s hair grew noticeably longer, often falling around his eyes during games. His beard was also at its fullest during the Chiefs‘ playoff run. However, in the wake of the Super Bowl defeat, he’s opted for a more polished appearance.
In the teaser for New Heights, Kelce appeared with a cleaner cut-his hair notably trimmed up, though mostly concealed under a Cincinnati Bearclaws hat. Meanwhile, his beard, which he has shaved down to stubble, is giving him a noticeably fresher look.
“Sweet lord,” one fan noted.
Another playfully said: “Aww. Kylie and Taylor got their respective guy cleaned up for spring school photos.”
“Not only is he gorgeous, he also seems like he’d be so much fun,” a third claimed.
Addressing retirement rumors
Kelce’s fresh look isn’t the only thing grabbing attention-his future in the NFL remains a major topic of discussion.
The New Heights episode, set to air Wednesday, marks the first time the Kelce brothers have been on set together since the Super Bowl. Given the lingering speculation about Travis’ potential retirement, some fans are hoping the episode will bring clarity.
While Kelce has yet to make an official on-camera statement about returning for another season, he did put rumors to rest in a recent text exchange with sports analyst Pat McAfee.
“I’m coming back, for sure,” Kelce wrote in a message that McAfee shared live on ESPN. “Gonna try and get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”
