Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce face home burglary with strength and gratitude

Last month, Travis Kelce, star of the Kansas City Chiefs, became the victim of a home burglary, an incident that caused significant concern for both him and his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift.

The robbery took place on October 7, shortly after the Chiefs‘ Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium.

Travis Kelce can’t resist joining the celebration and gets jealous of his teammates

According to a police report, the burglars broke into Kelce’s property around 7:33 p.m., just after the game began, and stole $20,000 in cash.

Additionally, the back door of the mansion was reported to have been damaged during the break-in. Despite the severity of the incident, the fact that no one was home prevented any injuries.

Kelce supported by his teammates

The emotional impact of the burglary did not go unnoticed by those involved. Patrick Mahomes, Kelce’s teammate on the Chiefs, expressed his frustration when speaking about the robbery: “Obviously, it’s frustrating, disappointing,” Mahomes told reporters ahead of his team’s game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

“I can’t get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing. But obviously it’s something that you don’t want to happen to anyone, but especially not to yourself.” This comment reflects the frustration felt by the Chiefs players after the robbery affected two of their most prominent stars.

Taylor Swift’s reaction surprised everyone

On the other hand, Taylor Swift, who is in a relationship with Kelce, had a surprisingly calm reaction.

According to sources close to the couple, when asked about the incident, the singer had a brief but positive response: “Thankful.” Swift apparently felt relieved that neither she nor Kelce were home during the robbery.

“She’s thankful that no one was hurt and that neither of them were home during the robberies,” an exclusive source told Page Six.

To ensure their safety, both Kelce and Swift took extra precautions after the incident. According to sources from TMZ, after the break-in, the couple stayed at a hotel in downtown Kansas City the night of the October 7th burglary.

Their security was also reportedly heightened, showing that they weren’t taking any chances.

Though the burglary was frightening, it has not affected Kelce’s career, as he remains one of the NFL’s top players. Fortunately, the mutual support between him and Taylor Swift seems to have given them the strength to overcome this difficult moment.
