Taylor Swift is hailed as the GOAT of music as she enjoys an unforgettable night with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift delivered another defining chapter in her career on Thursday night, winning seven trophies at the iHeartRadio Music Awards at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, including Artist of the Year and Best Pop Album for The Life of a Showgirl. But beyond the awards haul, the night became a celebration of her cultural impact and high-profile relationship with Travis Kelce.

One of the evening’s most talked-about moments came when Olympic figure skating gold medalist Alysa Liu presented Swift with the Artist of the Year award.

The exchange quickly turned into a mutual appreciation moment between two elite performers from different worlds.

“You brought me so much happiness,” Swift said as she accepted the award from Liu.

Liu responded with equal enthusiasm, calling the global superstar the greatest in her field.

“She’s the GOAT of music,” Liu said, before adding: “By narrating her videos, she [was] seducing me and the other blade angels. I gotta say, I think I probably would!”

The playful exchange underlined Swift‘s unmatched reach across generations and disciplines, further cementing her influence far beyond the music industry.

A message about creativity and patience

During her acceptance speech at the Dolby Theatre, Swift also delivered a reflective message aimed at emerging artists, encouraging them to develop their craft away from online pressure and instant judgment.

She recalled her early years learning music in private, emphasizing the importance of long-term growth.

“I’m a firm believer that anything you feed your mind, it will internalize, and anything you feed the Internet it will attempt to kill,” Swift said while holding her album of the year trophy. “And I don’t want that for your dreams.”

The statement drew attention from both fans and fellow artists, highlighting her evolving perspective after years in the public eye.

Beyond Artist of the Year and Best Pop Album for The Life of a Showgirl, Swift also took home Song of the Year and Best Music Video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” adding to a total of seven wins on the night.

Her latest album, shaped by the energy of her record-breaking Eras Tour, has been widely interpreted as one of her most optimistic projects to date.

“The album came out with this energy of just feeling really happy and strong and confident and free. And so I want to say thank you to the fans for giving me that feeling,” Swift said.

A personal milestone shared with Kelce

While Swift did not walk the red carpet with fianc Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seated in the front row throughout the ceremony, wearing a brown leather jacket and watching her sweep the awards.

Swift also made a direct acknowledgment of their relationship during her speech, crediting Kelce with contributing to the positive energy behind her recent work.

“So thanks for all the vibes,” Swift said, directing the comment toward Kelce, who has been a constant presence in her life since the pair confirmed their engagement in August 2025.

The couple, now preparing for a summer wedding, have increasingly blended their public and private worlds, with Swift attending Chiefs games and Kelce supporting her performances and appearances.

With praise from Liu, support from Kelce, and recognition across multiple categories, Swift‘s success at the iHeartRadio Music Awards reinforced her status as one of the most dominant and influential artists of her generation.
