Taylor Swift made her first awards show appearance of 2026 at Thursday’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, arriving at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre in a carefully curated look that turned heads. But with her evolving “The Life of a Showgirl” era making her one of the world’s biggest celebrities, Swift got people talking by showing off her engagement ring from fianc Travis Kelce.
The 14-time Grammy winner stepped onto the red carpet in a mint green velvet corset and matching miniskirt by Wiederhoeft, paired with Jimmy Choo sandals in a coordinating soft tone.
Her styling choices reinforced the visual identity of The Life of a Showgirl. Swift wore her hair in a half-up style and opted for a softer beauty look than usual, swapping her signature red lipstick for a glossy pink finish.
She accessorized with Dena Kemp earrings set with bi-color tourmalines, a Nak Armstrong ear cuff, and rings from Selim Mouzannar and L’Dezen. But the most prominent piece remained her engagement ring from Kelce.

The couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025, later shared their proposal photos on Instagram, confirming a relationship that has become one of the most closely followed in entertainment and sports.
While Swift did not arrive at the ceremony alongside Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star joined her inside the venue, where the pair were later seen together in the audience.
A red carpet built on legacy moments
Thursday’s appearance marked another milestone in Swift‘s long history with the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
In 2023, she accepted the Innovator Award wearing a crystal-covered Alexandre Vauthier Couture ensemble that resembled a jumpsuit in its sculptural design.
In 2019, she leaned into her Lover era aesthetic with a Rosa Bloom romper and Sophia Webster sandals, collecting multiple awards including Tour of the Year for the Reputation Stadium Tour and Best Music Video for “Delicate.”
Going further back, Swift appeared at the 2016 ceremony in a sleek black sequined Saint Laurent look with a blunt bob haircut, where she won Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Shake It Off,” and Best Lyrics for “Blank Space.”
While fashion defined the night visually, the emotional centerpiece was her engagement ring from Kelce. The old mine brilliant-cut diamond was designed by jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine in collaboration with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Old mine cut diamonds are known for their cushion-like shape, rounded corners, and distinctive hand-cut facets, making each stone unique.
Lubeck, a Florida-based goldsmith, has previously described her craft as deeply artisanal. “Basically, I take very small, sharp instruments and cut away bits of metal… into a particular design,” she said in a 2024 interview.
The ring’s yellow gold band features intricate hand engraving, reinforcing its antique-inspired character. Industry estimates suggest the custom piece, due to its size and craftsmanship, could be worth up to $1 million.
A symbol beyond luxury
Though the ring drew significant attention on the red carpet, it is widely viewed as more than a luxury statement.
Swift has often emphasized sentimental meaning in her jewelry choices, and this piece reflects a milestone moment ahead of her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce this summer.
For their engagement announcement, the couple captioned their post: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Swift wore a striped silk Ralph Lauren dress and layered several meaningful jewelry pieces, including a Cartier watch and personalized rings.
At the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, however, it was clear that the most significant accessory was not just the most expensive but also the most personal.
