Taylor Swift’s game-day appearances at Kansas City Chiefs matchups continue to captivate fans, and a former Chiefs cheerleader has now shed light on a sweet postgame ritual between the pop icon and her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
In a September 2024 TikTok video, Stefanie Hills, a former cheerleader for the Chiefs, shared her firsthand account of spotting Swift waiting near the locker room after games to reunite with Kelce. “She would always meet Travis by the locker room at the end of the game,” Hills explained, recounting her surprise at seeing the superstar up close.
The candid revelation came with an amusing anecdote: “One game, we decided to wait by the door, thinking, ‘Maybe she’ll take a picture with us!’ We were huddled there for what felt like forever,” Hills shared. While the photo op didn’t materialize, Hills couldn’t deny her awe. “You don’t have to be a Swiftie to know Taylor Swift is one of the most successful artists in the world right now,” she said, clarifying her admiration for Swift’s measurable success.
Hills admitted she was initially skeptical when Swift, 35, first attended a Chiefs game in September 2023, cheering from the stands at Arrowhead Stadium. “I thought it had to be a publicity stunt,” she confessed. The disbelief quickly turned into starstruck distraction. “I couldn’t focus on my job. I’m supposed to lead chants and dances, and all I could think was, ‘That’s Taylor Swift.'”
The former cheerleader’s standout memory was when Swift clapped along to her choreography during an end zone performance. “Seeing her applaud was surreal,” Hills said. “She liked my choreography-or at least I tell myself that.”
Swift will certainly at the Chiefs’ AFC Championship
Swift, who has since become a regular fixture at Kelce’s games, was last seen cheering enthusiastically during the Chiefs’ playoff victory over the Houston Texans. From her VIP suite, she mirrored Kelce’s first down signal after a successful play and was spotted exclaiming, “holy s-t,” at one of his standout moments.
The connection between Swift and Kelce even made its way into postgame banter. Following the 23-14 win, Kelce joked with a reporter about feeling “22,” a playful nod to one of Swift’s iconic songs.
As the Chiefs gear up for their AFC Championship showdown with the Buffalo Bills, fans are left wondering what Swift’s next game-day moment will be-and if her locker room tradition with Kelce will continue to capture the hearts of onlookers.
